David Paul M.D. was born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1951. He was raised with his two brothers in Des Moines and graduated from Valley high School in 1969 and Drake University with his BA in Science in 1973. He then attended the University of Iowa where he was involved in research in biochemistry and instructed human anatomy to medical and dental students. The following year Dr. Paul entered Medical School at University of Iowa in Iowa City. After completion of his Medical school education in 1978 he entered his 5-year residency in the Department of Urology in Iowa. After completion of his urology residency in 1983 he moved to Brainerd where he has been a private practice Urologist serving the Central Minnesota communities of Brainerd, Crosby ,and Aitkin. He received his Urology Board Certification first in 1985 and recertification in 1995. Since starting his practice from scratch in 1983 he has treated thousands of patients and acquired a vast knowledge of urology problems. Dr. Paul has been happily married for 25 years and has 3 children; 2 boys and a daughter.

Dr. Bradley J. Qualey M.D. has been in the Brainerd Lakes Area since the summer of 1996 and joined Lakes Area Urology at that time. Prior to this he practiced with the Metropolitan Urology LTD in St. Paul Minnesota. Dr. Qualey received his B.A. in Biology at St. Olaf college in Northfield, MN in 1981 and his Medical Degree at the University of Minnesota in 1984. He then completed his 5 year residency in urology at the University of Iowa in1989. Dr. Qualey is currently Chief of Staff at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Brainerd. He is been married for 18 years and has 3 boys. Dr. Qualey was board Certified in 1991 and recertified in 2000.

Both Dr.Paul and Dr. Qualey are certified by the American Board of Urology and are members of the AMA, AUA, and Minnesota Urology Association.
