The staff at Lakes Area Urology can manage the following urologic problems in the office or hospital and we offer quality, complete evaluations and treatment of your urologic problem. Urologists are medical and surgical specialists that deal with disorders of the urinary tract in either males or females of any age, and the reproductive tract of the male. With over 30 years of experience between Dr. Paul and Dr. Qualey can provide you with personal and professional care. Both the doctors will work through your problem in a timely manner and provide answers to your questions as fast and complete as possible. The following urologic services are provided by Lakes Area Urology:

FEMALE

Urinary Incontinence evaluation for stress, urgency or, mixed incontinence and treatment recommendations.:

*Conservative non-invasive treatments options to include medications, biofeedback, Kegels, instructions Electric stimulation.

*Surgical options to include small incision laprascopic bladder suspension, minimally invasive bladder neck slings using bone anchors, and minimally invasive collagen urethral injections.

*Management of urinary voiding problems to include symptoms such as frequency, urgency, nocturia, painful urination, bladder pain, kidney pain, blood in the urine, slow or dribbling urination.

*Management of bladder disorders such as Interstitial or chronic cystitis.

MALE

*Management of all Prostate Disorders to include:

Screening for prostate cancer with an in the office Prostatic Specific Antigen (PSA) blood testing, Digital Rectal Exam (DRE) and Transrectal Ultrasound Biopsy of the Prostate (TRUS) when indicated.

*Evaluation and management of obstructive voiding symptoms commonly know as BPH.

Treatments can include medications, office TransUrethral Microwave Therapy of the prostate (TUMT). Or hospital procedures to include TransUrethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) , or TransUrethral Incision of the Prostate (TUIP)

 

*Complete state of the art evaluation and treatment of prostate cancer by a team of cancer specialists including radiation, medical oncologists, urologist, counselors, and peer support groups. We provide treatments options to include the nerve sparing Radical Prostatectomy, Brachytherapy utilizing palladium 103, and Conformal External Beam Radiotherapy which provided at the St. Joseph Medical Center.

*We can provide you with your cancer medications such as injections with Lupron or Zoledex.

*Complete evaluation and treatments provided for prostate disorders such as prostatitis, venereal diseases, urethritis, and urethral strictures.

*Management with a team approach and in conjunction with the St. Joseph Medical Center A regional Referral Cancer Center; All adult urologic cancers to include kidney, ureteral, prostate, testicular, bladder and penile cancers.

*Management of common urinary tract infections.

 

*Complete evaluation and management of Erectile Dysfunction (ED) including viagra, caverject injection therapy, intraurethral suppository installations (MUSE) , vacuum inflation devices that can be obtained through our office, and surgical implants with penile prosthetics.

* Vasectomies for sterilization can be performed in the office.

EITHER SEX

*Complete evaluation and management of Kidney and Ureteral Stones. Medical evaluation and recommendations for individuals with recurrent stones. Procedures available at the hospital include ureteroscopy and Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) . Also Percutaneous procedures can be performed in conjunction with a team of skilled radiologists,

*Management of recurring bladder infections, blood in the urine

PEDIATRICS

We are skilled in management of most of the most common childhood urologic problems to include: recurrent Urinary tract infections, undecended testes, kidney stones, hematuria, bedwetting, incontinence, neurogenic bladders, voiding dysfunction, foreskin problems, delayed sex development, Urinary voiding symptoms.
